FIFA Online 3 is developed by EA Sports and has been a hit when it was released. The game allows players to play and select a team to customize from any of the 30 leagues and 15,000 real-world players available. Players can choose to play the single player via a session, or challenge other online players. Playing a match gives players EP, which is known as the in-game currency that is used to purchase players and items.

The game before had a similar gameplay to FIFA 11, but it switched to Impact engine which is the same with FIFA 13 since 2015. The game’s multiplayer online play has been improved to allow players to play custom matches to at least three players. A club system, premium item shops, and an online transfer market to purchase or sell players are now available.

FIFA Online 3 also features some game modes that are remarkably the same with the ones found in FIFA Online 2. However, the League Mode was not changed while the online modes of the game have been edited a little. These changes have allowed players to play friendly matches against other players of the same skill or random players. They can also compete with their friends via VS Custom mode. They can also choose to play as the manager by managing their team’s plans and formation in the VS Manager mode. 

In addition, the game has also upgraded the ranking system, where all players will start with 1500 points and can only play against other players who have the same number of points. Every won match gives 10 points, and additional points are added or deducted to every consecutive win or loss in each game. Rewards can be claimed at the end of every in-game season to all players and are based on the points they have.
